Sections A section is a "slice" through a building, they are also know as section "cuts". Generally, at least two of these are necessary to help describe a building, but the more stories, and the more complex the building is, several more sections in different directions across the building may be necessary. These are scaled, much like floor plans and elevations, so that various items can be measured or dimensioned accurately.
