Setbacks These are the different distances your building will need to be from the different property lines. Below is a diagram illustrating some typical ones for a residential project. Each zone may have different ones. Special circumstances like lots on a corner that don't have a typical "side" yard may have special setbacks for it. Check with your local jurisdiction.
