Roof Framing Plans

This is very similar to the floor framing plan, but now you are showing the rafters that form the roof and ceiling (or pre-fabricated trusses that do both), along with the headers (short beams over windows and doors), the "look-out's" or "outriggers" that cantilever out to support fascia when necessary, and any other significant items.  The supporting framed walls underneath are normally shown as a dashed line.

This is only the most common way that most homes are framed,  there are many other structural systems to choose from.  But your plan sets will still essentially be the same in their approach to describing other structural systems.
