Finish Schedules

Plans for most commercial projects, regardless of size or type, will likely be required to have some kind of Finish Schedule.  For any type of food service business, this is one of the major requirements of any plans that you will submit to the County Health Department, which requires a permit separate from the building permit, but the building permit generally requires that you have your Health Dept. permit prior to getting your building permit.  Initial reviews from both departments can usually run concurrently.

The finish schedule can be shown as a separate copy of the floor plan with the different rooms indicated by name or number and/or some kind of graphic indication of the type of flooring.  Then you have a matrix that indicates the finished surfaces of the floors, walls, and ceilings for each room identified.
