Floor Area Ratio (F.A.R.) This is very similar to the coverage calculation, only you would include the floor square footage from all floors combined as opposed to just those on the first floor covering the ground. This calculation is less common for single family residential projects (though it is sometimes required and may have limitations) but more common for multi-residential, commercial & public projects.
